So it's November, right? And three times yesterday I had to shut down my computer for THUNDERSTORMS! What's with that? Three hours of no production, but when we lost power at one point, I was so glad I didn't tempt fate.
Meeting sis and niece at Tannersville today for some shopping. It's nieces b-day. Because of the storms, I'm a little behind with goals, but family first in my world.
I told them I couldn't stay long, but I think the break might scrape the burnt bits off my fried brain.
Have a wonderful day, ladies.

The break will help--enjoy it! I just read through the first fifty again. Made edits and will input them. Waiting to hear back from CP re: my most recent synopsis for the story. She'll get it back to me by Sunday. I am doing a readaloud on Sunday of the first fifty (but since the last two scenes are love scenes, might not read too loudly. That's why I think it won't fly well -- too erotic -- but I LOVE MY STORY -- now I have a good start and a road map.
Right -- sorry about the power outages, We have tornadoes here in spring and autumn. So far the autumn has been mild. Whew. So distressing tho to lose valuable writing time.
Going back into the trenches!
Shopping went well. Had a lovely time---until the drive home.
PA mountains in autumn are beautiful, but after dark . . .
I hit a HUGE deer, a buck, nice rack, looked right at me through the windshield of my truck as I ran into him at 50 mph. He flew and almost hit an oncoming vehicle. Thank heaven he missed the other care. It was small and had two elderly folks in it.
How big was said buck? My airbags didn't deploy. His back was as high as my full-sized Avalanche. Good thing it was too dark to see much when I check the damage. I never would have driven the vehicle home, but I was within 5 miles, and took a chance with a headlight out and marker lights hanging by their wires.
I near died when I could see it in the light. Thank heaven for insurance, but the deductible is going to hurt. Ah well. Vehicle will be flat-bedded out on Monday. Rental delivered so dh can go to the doc.
But this stuff happens every time I'm pushing in the right direction, so now I'm more determined than ever to finish.
OMG!! I am so grateful you are okay--so sorry this happened to you! Hugs and love from me in AL...
More hugs... be careful...
Thanks, Christine. Hard to get my head back in the 15th century right now. Lots of deer there. No trucks.
Still, I'm behind and will really have to push. Without a car, can't go anywhere so maybe this will be a blessing in disguise? (Gotta find the silver lining, here because this might pull the plug on ANY chance of making it to Nashville *sigh*)
You'll just have to final in the GH and then there will be every reason in the world for you to head to Nashville. *grin*
I have to admit, the first fifty pages are becoming golden, but the rest of the MS is not so pretty. Nevermind. I've been told no one reads it anyway and I'll polish it between now and the calls going out.
I have hope for the first entry. We'll see. Going to Nville....
You will get this done and I bet you will be going to Nashville!!
