It's 3 a.m. The pups are sleeping, and my secondary characters are asserting themselves. I know my CP will have thoughts about that, but I'm going to keep pushing forward. Perhaps the secondaries will be moved. Perhaps they are being so adamant for a reason. I don't know yet---one of the joys of "pantsing". One way or the other, what will be will be. And I have miles to go before I sleep...

I was up early as well--today I shifted some old hero scenes over from the SCRIVENER files into word and printed them out. I'm hoping to salvage core bits and kernels for the GH entry now that I have retooled the plot and s/l. I am going to a readers luncheon so no writing as it's an all day event with Southern Magic, but I am so looking forward to it.
Tomorrow I warned the peeps in my real world that I will be doing three things: grocery shopping, writing all day, emerging for dinner.
I plan to buy ahead as I am going out of town. It'll be a lot of frozen meals week of the 16th, but I must simplify that week if I am going to miss two days writing by driving to Asheville.
Looks like I will need to layer in a TON of senses and scenery/setting descriptions, but that's okay. I write short and this will strengthen the MS.
I hope you have a fabulous writing day!
Up early? I hadn't yet gone to bed! Hit the rack about 5. Kinda normal for me. Silence is such a rare and blessed thing.
I hope you have a fabulous day at Southern Magic. Not a doubt in my mind I know a gal or two that will be there. It's good to get out and refresh yourself now and again. Makes for much better writing.
Just remember, Christine; first you bake the cake, then you ice it. Only after both are done do you add the decorative bits. The same goes for your story---and won't it be fun to blow out the candles?
I love the cake analogy!! So true!! And the SM Readers Luncheon was great. I saw a lot of my buds and made new friends as well.
This is a wonderful group of writers. Came home inspired to go for the gold.
